End the Hate, End the Violence

Someone close to me made an amazing post on the violence going in the world today and I honestly couldn’t agree more. This past week has been a dark week. From school shootings, to the needless killing of inocent people, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk. All compounded on a week where we stand in remembrance of the events 24 years ago during the 9/11 terrorist attack where nearly 3000 people including civilians and First Responders lost their lives and thousands more injured. I don’t care what direction you lean, whether you side with the left, right, or center. This goes beyond red vs blue. This goes beyond politics and religion. We need to stand together and unite against the violence. We need to help eachother out and end the suffering. My page normally focuses on poetry, and I haven’t posted in ages. Maybe I’ll write a poem about what is going on. Right now I am still processing it. But what I do know is I can’t sit here as an American and stay silent while the country I have grown up in is falling apart. It breaks my heart to see people laughing at all the suffering. It disgusts me that there are people celebrating the violence. People have died. Families have been forever changed. The heartache and constant suffering is too much. We are destroying eachother when we should be loving one another. If you disagree, have an open dialogue. Be willing to hear eachother’s point of view. And if you don’t find common ground, so be it. We are all human, our differences in opinion and belief are what makes us unique. So end the suffering, end the hate. Unite against the evils of the world and stand up against the violence.

Show my friend, brother, and fellow American some love as they get their blog started for the first time! https://wp.me/pgNT8h-9
